Unbroken

I have been reading unbroken for a while, now so I am farther into the book that my last post on it. Now, louis has progressed to be a world class runner. He started as a very skinny boy who could barely run, but he trained very hard and he was repaid for his hard work by making it in the 1936 olympic team. He took a boat over to Europe and a Nazi occupied Germany and gives it his all at the 5000 meter race, and comes into seventh place! He steals as many souvenirs as he can, including a Nazi flag. when he stole the flag, he got in a lot of trouble, with the guards, but a gestapo officer let him have the flag. at the time, Hitler was making plans of world domination and when louis got back to the untied states, he was drafted into the air force to fly a b-24 bomber. Meanwhile, he was working as a extra in movies and if he wanted his pay, he had to stay for two more days so he ate many candy bars. He failed his physical, but he did not escape it entirely, he was asked to take it again two days later.
