Legend

I am currently reading Legend by Marie Lu. It is a great book about the future. Day is the Republic's most wanted criminal who has just learned his family has the plague, a deadly disease that spreads throughout the Republic. Day tries to steal plague medicine for his family and ens up killing a soldier. June is one of the only people in the Republic who scored perfectly on her trail. She learns that her brother was killed by Day on a raid. June now joins the military forces to try to find Day and get revenge for her brother. June finds Day in a  surprising way the two become friends. Day shows June that the capital might be hiding something from them about the Plague and who actually murdered June's brother.
     This is another science fiction that tell an exciting story about the future. I would not like to live in the Republic because they are very rough. They kill innocent citizens to test the Plague. They also kill people who rebel including citizens and people form the colonies. This would be a very scary society because it seems like there is not a lot of technology to help people. They also to execute people in public from a firing squad. I hope that the future is not like this.
