The Million Dollar Throw

I just finished reading the book The Million Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica. It is a book about a boy named Nate Brodie. He is the best high school football quarterback in Massachusetts. He has a friend named Abby, Abby is going blind. Nate ends up getting benched after three strait games with lots of interceptions and throwing the ball all over the field. Nate buys a Tom Brady autographed ball and entering in a contest to win a chance to make a throw into a target thirty yards away on Thanksgiving night at the patriots game. It you hit the target, you win a million dollars. To make matters worse his dad looses his job, forcing his mom to pick-up a second job and making the throw that much more important. His dad used to have his own real estate business but when the economy went under so did his business. Then he got a job at the grocery store, which he just lost. Then he finds out that Abby may be leaving town and going t6o another school. A school for the blind. Nate finds a way to make it all better though. He finds this revolutionary surgery to reverse Abby's condition and return her sight to normal. And he wants to pay for it for Abby and her family. Nate's family could also be helped a lot by a million dollars. But he needs to make the throw.
