Torn

I just finished reading the book Torn by Margret Peterson Haddix. It was about how two teenagers tried to save time, by having to go back in time. in the previous book in the series, a man named Second Chance had sabotaged time and changed its outcome, so in this book , the kids are still stuck trying to fix time. The main character Jonah, has to pretend to be John Hudson to try and fix time. The other main character is a girl named Kathrine who is Jonah's sister. The two are stuck on a ship trying to find the Hudson Passage which doesn't exist. However Second creates it to try to make the world better and give history a happy ending. One of their friends J.B., who i an expert at time travel from the future, pulls them out of time, because he think they have messed up. When he puts them back, it is discovered that Second has been hiding on the ship the whole time. It turns out that Jonah and Katherine end up having to work together with Second to help save time.
