Travel Team

I finished Football Champ. It was a really great book and I recommend it to any spotrs fans. That's not what this post is on. This post is on my next book, Travel Team by Mike Lupica. It centers on the story of a boy named Danny Walker. He is shorter than everyone else in his age group. In baskeball that puts you at a huge dissadvantage. Danny was on a local travel team. That team cut him because he was too short. His father then starts his own team for other kids who have been cut. Danny's character shows great persistence. From when he was little the book says that he knew how to "Lean into the bigger kid gaurding him, just because there was always a bigger kid gaurding him, and then step back so he could get his dopey shot off." His persistence has payed itself back with great skill. The book says, "He was the best passer his age, even better than Ty Ross, who was better at everything in sports than just about anybody." In conclusion, Danny Walker's hard work has payed off and his great skills are proof. Danny is a character with a work ethic that everyone should aspire to have.
