The Son of Neptune

Over the last week I have read The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. This is part of the Percy Jackson Series. The main plot is that Percy Jackson is back, but he has no memory of his past. All that he can remember is that he had a girlfriend named Annabeth. The reason why Percy has no memory is because of Juno (god). Juno has erased his memory, and Jason's memory in attempts to bring the two camps together. Percy Jackson wanders his way to the Roman Camp of Camp half-blood. There he meets two friends, Hazel and Frank. Hazel is the daughter of Pluto (Hades) and has even traveled to the underworld and came back. Because of this she has recurring flashbacks of her past and her mother. She was the main reason why the giants are coming back and how the earth god is coming back to life. Frank also has some special powers. He is a son of Ares, but he also has the power to be what ever he wants to be. He can turn into any animal he wants and can fight with that animal. So the three of them have been set on a quest to recover the lost eagle and save the Roman Camp. Overall I thought that this book was amazing and I would recommend this book to everyone.

  1. Sounds like a very interesting Roman myth book, and I love how these books mix modern day culture with Romas myths, like all of Rick Riodan's books. This one attracted me the most because I like the fact that he has lost all of his memory, like he must remake his life.
