I am reading the book, Seabiscuit: The American Ledgand by Laura Hillenbrand. The book is about Seabiscuit, a horse who is small, stocky, sleeps a lot, and has bad knees. But as it turns out, he is insanly fast, you just need the right way to train him. His trainer is a man named Tom Smith, a man who doesn't talk much, loves horses, and hates the press. Seabiscuits owner is a man named Howard, and he loves the press. His rider is a man named Pollerd. Right now Sea biscuit is about to face the dreaded War-Admiral.Sadly, Pollard got his leg broken, and his good friend George Wolf had to ride him.

  1. This sounds like a great book and I hope to read it later this year. I have seen the movie, but like some other books, the movie is not as in depth as the book so maybe I will learn more. from what i hear, this book can change how people think about horse riding as a sport.

  2. I just read this book as well and it was great, this author has published two of my favorite books, and I hope she comes out with more. The ways in which Tom Smith deals with the press is really funny. I love the part when he is so angry with the press that he tells them "All four of his legs are broken." And the reporter believes it and it becomes national news.
