The Book of Fate
I have just finished reading The Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer. Overall, I thought it was a solid book. This book got into a lot of conspiracy theories about the government and the presidency. It was about a young man, the main character, who worked for the president, when one of the senior staffers was killed. Eight years later, he mysteriously came back to life and that's when the book is off and running through an exciting mystery chase. I do have to say that the book can get very slow in parts and kind of confusing. Many times I would have to go back and reread a page or two to get all of the names straight and figure out exactly what was going on. As a whole I really enjoyed the concept of the book and loved how a lot of really interesting facts about the White House were incorporated into this fictional story. I really enjoy Brad Meltzer's writing, and suggest this book to anyone looking for a good mystery read.
