The Help

Currently I am reading the book The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. Although I am not very far I really have enjoyed reading it so far. The book, so far, is from the view points of Aibileen, Minny and, Skeeter. Aibileen and Minny are both African American maids working for white families, whil Skeeter is a white woman who is a writer. These ladies all live in the same town and their lives all connect in a way. Aibileen is Minny's very good friend. Skeeter asks Aibileen for help when writing her newpaper articles. I think that Skeeter and Minny well create a connection later in the book. Currently the book is on the topic of bathrooms for the help. I feel that the help should not have to have their own segregated bathrooms, but back then that's how things were. This book is a very good example of how life was back then. I think that all the characters will be connected in some way that affects how African Americans are treated. I am really loooking forward to reading the rest of it.
