The Art of Racing in the Rain

I'm reading a book called The Art of Racing in the Rain. It's about a dog, Ezno, who thinks like a human. The book starts out with him telling the reader all about his early life and bonding with his owner. The book progresses through his life like this. He knows that he is a special kind of dog and not at all like the rest of the dogs that he knows. He gives an account on what it means for him to be a dog, but a human at the same time. The story has him tell all about his life and everything and everybody he encountered throughout his lifetime that impacted him in some way. I'm only about half way through this book and already I'm hooked on it. The characters are very vivid and the stories that each has to tell make them seem as if they are coming to life. The characters are very touching and their relation ship with Ezno makes the book so much better than if the characters didn't have a good relationship with him. The characters that are most important to Ezno in the book are Denny (his owner) and zoƫ (Denny's daughter.) Throughout the book, tragedies happen, decisions have to be made and Ezno helps to preserve the family that he loves so much. It is so far a good book, that is very touching, especially good read for animal lovers.

  1. The book sounds very interesting to me even tho this is genre that seldom dive into. I think its kind of fnny that the book is being narrated by a dog that thinks like a human. That made me think of the movie Up. Im glad that you found a book you are hooked and i would love to read or further explore this genre.
