A Maximum Ride Novel "MAX"
So this started about 1 year ago, I started reading the Maximum ride series and got to the recent book of the time "Schools Out Forever" I loved the series and for some reason never followed it until 2 weeks ago when i went to the bookstore to get more books for independent reading. I saw the 3 books, MAX, FANG and ANGEL (all named after characters in the book) I decided to take them. I started and finished MAX in 1 1/2 days and started FANG... Anyways, this story is just as good as James Patterson's other books about Maximum and has man good and bad happening. For one thing, Max and Fang have something going on, Max's biological mother is held hostage in a underwater base with an evil man in charge Mr. Chu. Angel can breath underwater and believes the others can too. They don't exactly want to try since the Gasman (Gazzy) threw up last time he tried because he and Angel are biological twins. In the end, I loved this book and finish Fang and Angel and want more to come. I recommend this book if you believe in flying kids our age and younger... I thought i would hate it, but he makes it real.

Blog post
The book I am reading now is called Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. It is about Eragon who is a dragon rider, and his dragon Saphira. He also has a half brother named Murgentog who was captured by Galborix, and foreced into slavery by him. Now he has to fight for evil. But, The queen of the Varedon was captured by gallborox. He is tortering her until she tells him her name. But Murgentog is trying to free her. He and his brother Roran have to defeat a king named Gallbarix. Right now they are in his castle facing him, but they found out he found out how to control all magic. Because of that, he has them trapped and eventually he will get them to tell him their ancient names, which means they will be slaves to him. Roran is fighting a group of soldier who can't feel pain, so are really hard to kill. Nothing seems to be going right at the moment, so I am wondering how things will turn out.
Hunger Games
So I got The Hunger Games for Christmas and found out the movie was gonna come out so I started reading. I finished it and thought it was a cool book, but wasn't really sure why everyone kept getting so pumped about it. I finally saw the trailer for the movie, and unfortunately I think it will end up being another "Golden Compass Fail". I just hope it doesn't ruin the book. I don't know if I want to finish the trilogy because the ending left off on a very stale note. Plus I want to read the war of the worlds since I need to finish the page requirement. I personally felt that Gale's character should've been developed more, and that the author should have explained more about the Seam. I couldn't get a clear picture in my head of the town or the time period (knowing it was post-apocalyptic helped, but not for the issue of technology). I might pick it up again in a few months.

Cinder
What happens when you cross a tale as old as time with the futuristic idea of cyborgs? You get a book called Cinder, by Marissa Meyer. As most of us remember, Cinderella has two ugly stepsisters, a wicked stepmother, a handsome prince charming and a happily ever after. This is not the case. Cinder is a cyborg, 36.28% metalloid, the other 63.72% human. After a devastating hover accident that left parts of her body pulverized, Cinder was rushed to the surgery room, where she was turned cyborg. Thanks to her robotic abilities, Cinder is the greatest mechanic in New Beijing, the thrilling setting for this book that begins a little over a hundred years after the world war 4. This particular trait brings the handsome Prince Kai to her, in hope that Cinder will be able to fix his android, Nainsi. Before she can help, however, Letumosis, a fatal disease that has been ravaging the Earth for centuries, strikes her younger sister, and only human friend. Adri, her stepmother, punishes Cinder for Peony's illness, by volunteering her for testing in hope that a cure for Letumosis will eventually emerge. Still, during Cinder's testing, something unusual about Cinder strikes a researcher as odd, and, when he dives deeper into the Cinder's mysterious past, he find something about Cinder that has been hidden from her for almost ten years. When Queen Levanna from the Luners comes to visit, things take a turn for the worst as Cinder's secrets, both unknown and known to her, come crawling to the surface.
This is a amazing book, with a extraordinarily good, twisting plot and creative, complex characters. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of fairytales, science fiction, action, or loves a complex, strong female character. The book is 387 pages long, so its not terribly short or long.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
I recently started Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J.K. Rowling. This book is number two in the Harry Potter series. It focuses on the aspect of Harry's second year at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry continuously hears a strange voice inside the walls of the school. It starts getting louder, and soon becomes dangerous when attacks start happening to the students. He discovers that the Chamber of Secrets (Located in the girl's bathroom) has been opened, and the monster has been let out. He finds out later that Ron's sister, Ginny, has been taken into the Chamber...
I love the Harry Potter series and can't put them down! I've seen all the movies, and it is so much fun to read the books after because I can picture what is happening in my head fairly easily, and understand what the characters look like.

Warlock
This book by Micheal Scott is the last so far in the series of Nicholas Flamel the immortal. I am not sure if you know or heard of the stories of Nicholas, but in this book he is good to some people and bad to others. This book is not actually based on nicholas and his wife but on a pair of twins who are the twins of the legend, the gold and the silver, gold being Josh Newman and silver is Sophie Newman. They are trapped in a new and different world that brings them to a decision that will change the world. Their biggest fear is Dr. John Dee aka Dee. He is as powerful maybe more than Nicholas him self and has a plan to bring back the dark elders to the world, but all that changes once he fails once to many times. His "friend" is Machiavelli, but Machiavelli is not as bad as we think. He has a plan of his own and his is not to help anyone but will help the worlds fait. I really liked this book and recommend it. Also if you want to read this book you need start with the first one.

Brisingr
I am currently reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. Currently Eragon is in the Varden camp making plans with the leader of the Varden, Nasuada. Eragon had just returned from a long journey from Helgrind all the way back to the Varden which is a distance that covers almost half of the continent of Alagaesia. Eragon and his dragon Saphira tr to fix their botched blessing on the girl, Elva. Elva was previously blessed by Eragon and Saphira, but Eragon screwed up some of the words in the Ancient Language, so now the girl hears the thoughts of everyone who is in pain. On his first day back the Varden was attacked by an Imperial squad of soldiers. At first sight the soldiers seemed to be a decoy because there were so few. But once they got into battle they realized these men felt no pain. The only way to get rid of them was to cut off their head. The men were under some enchantment. They had volunteered under the promise that their family would live on to be wealthy. At this battle Thorn and Murtagh showed up, and he and Eragon had a battle in the sky, in which Murtagh was forced to retreat.
